Marketing & Communications Internship

Responsible for providing support for marketing and sales team members.

  • Manage contact in the company’s CRM system (Microsoft Dynamics 365); upload/enter contacts, enter new prospects into CRM, maintain the system.
  • Write content, proofread and ensure high quality marketing materials for emails, letters, etc.
  • Learn the email service program (SendGrid or other). Create emails, extract contacts from UCFS business systems (AS/400 and CRM), upload contacts, test, and handle sends.
  • Aggregate and analyze statistics for email sends.
  • Handle customer communications direct or email messaging (mail merges), print documents such as welcome letters and labels for mailings, brochures for assembly in folders for customer and prospective customer meetings, trade shows, and salesperson travels.
  • Research and fulfill promotional products, customer or employee gift/awards.
  • Support trade show events.
  • Other work as needed, could include writing and managing surveys, coordinating meetings, media activities, website SEO work, and customer/market research.

  • Ability to use or learn Excel principals and formulas to extract, aggregate and analyze data.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Ability to apply basic graphic design principals and skills.
  • Ability to understand and follow UCFS’ policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Proficiency with standard office equipment, computer and computer programs, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Basic skills in Adobe, graphic design programs, and web programs are helpful.
Working Conditions
  • This position operates in a professional office environment at UCFS’ offices in Westlake, OH. There is no travel required for this position.
  • This position is for a four to six month internship with hours flexing between 20 and 30 hours per week. UCFS is open for operations 7 days a week.
  • College student working towards BA from a four-year college/university in Communications, Marketing, or related field.
  • Must have a 3.0 GPA or better
  • Must be in their Junior or Senior year.
  • Graphic design experience a plus.
